Made to Swim
Blue crabs have three pairs of walking legs plus flattened rear legs shaped like paddles for swimming.
The flattened rear legs distinguish swimming crabs from many other crab families. Combined with their blue claws and olive-blue shell, they give the Maryland blue crab its recognizable appearance.
Those paddle legs are easy to recognize in crab artwork and are one of the details that make the species such a distinctive Chesapeake symbol.

The Pink Summer Tee Nobody Expects and Everybody Asks About
Crab merchandise runs heavy on navy, gray, and white. The pink summer tee is the deliberate exception: a warm-weather shirt for the person at the feast who refuses to dress like the rest of the table, with the iLoveCrabs print doing its talking on an unexpected canvas. It still reads unmistakably crab house, just in a shade with more nerve.
Bought for Two Reasons
Half of these go to people treating themselves. The other half are gifts, because pink solves the classic problem of the crab lover who already owns every hat and pullover in the usual colors. Hand this one over and you have given them something the rest of their crew genuinely does not have.
Made for the Hot Months
The summer line is cut light on purpose. This is a shirt for humid backyard afternoons, boardwalk strolls, and dockside dinners where a heavy tee would be a punishment. It retires gracefully in autumn, right about when the collection's gray hoodie comes out of the closet.
Give the Shirt a Story
A tee this noticeable draws questions, and the best answer is an invitation. Our crab feast hosting guide lays out how to turn a pile of steamed crabs into an afternoon: table covering, tools, quantities, all of it. Order the pink, plan the feast, and let the shirt take the credit for both.
